Workshop led by Pretty Deadly founder Susie Kahlich. Susie is a 25-year martial artist, and is certified in domestic violence awareness and support (University of Sheffield), teen suicide prevention (OLLIE Foundation), human trafficking awareness and intervention (DisasterReady) and serves on the Board of Directors for Partnerships for Trauma Recovery in Berkeley.
Pretty Deadly is a trauma-informed self defense and trainer certification program designed as an answer traditional self defense training, focusing on accessibility, inclusivity and body awareness. Launched in Berlin in 2016, Pretty Deadly has trained over 5000 women and non-binary people around the world, and certified trainers in 7 countries. Recognized as a leader in women’s self defense, Pretty Deadly has been featured on RFI, BBC, and recognized by UN Women WEPs.
