Philosophy in the Age of AI: Thinking Beyond the Algorithm

The Reasoning Academy is offering a fall course for high school students on the Philosophy in the Age of AI: Thinking Beyond the Algorithm. . The course uses questions raised in Artificial Intelligence as a means to practice the central skills of philosophical reasoning and argument. We examine metaphysical issues such as the nature of intelligence, consciousness, and personal identity, alongside epistemological questions about the limits of computation and what it would mean to know if a machine could think.

The Reasoning Academy helps students grow into rigorous thinkers with intellectual discernment, who can communicate effectively and act with foresight across contexts.
