SAN FRANCISCO BALLET 2024 SPRING FESTIVAL
The San Francisco School Spring Festival will return this May for three nights of original performances starring the SF Ballet School Students. The performances will take place at the Blue Shield of California Theater at YBCA on May 22, 23, and 24 – with a special fundraising dinner taking place on May 22 at the Four Seasons San Francisco. This year’s dinner will be a special opportunity for us to celebrate the arrival of SF Ballet School’s new School Director Grace Holmes.
As this year will mark Artistic Director Tamara Rojo’s inaugural season at SF Ballet, the cultivation and training of the next generation of dancers could not be any more important to its bright future. It is also key to the Company’s future to foster and develop new choreographers to bring unique voices to the world of dance. This annual performance has been the first opportunity for many students and SF Ballet School faculty to explore this immensely important task and produce new works, highlighting their talent and the skills of the students.
Proceeds from this event will support the $1.5 million in scholarships and financial aid the School distributes annually to deserving students, as well as SF Ballet’s education and community engagement programs that serve over 58,000 children, families, lifelong learners, and community members throughout San Francisco each year.
