SF’s Gorgeous Magnolia Bloom 2025 in Golden Gate Park

Golden Gate Park’s gorgeous magnolias are expected to have their peak bloom a little later in February.

One of San Francisco’s most breathtaking natural marvels, the annual bloom of more than 200 rare and historic magnolias with trees reaching 80 feet, is typically at its peak from January through March at the SF Botanical Garden.

2025 Napa Lighted Art Festival (Jan. 18 – Feb. 16)

The Napa Lighted Art Festival is a celebration of creative arts, technology and lights, and supports innovative techniques using light and light technologies as a growing art medium. This walkable outdoor experience is FREE in Downtown Napa featuring 11 lighted art sculptures for five weeks and projection artwork on three iconic downtown buildings for the first nine nights of the festival. Sausalito Crab Festival – February 1, 2025

The Sausalito Sustainable Waterfront Association (SSWA) is excited to announce the First Annual Sausalito Crab Festival, a community-focused event celebrating and supporting Sausalito’s hardworking crab fishing fleet!

The festival will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Fish Restaurant in Clipper Yacht Harbor, marking the start of crab season with a day of delicious food, music, and community spirit.

3rd Annual Oakland Lantern Festival + Night Market

Sunday Feb 9, 2025, 3-8PM will be our 3rd Annual Lantern Festival in Oakland Chinatown!

The year of the wood snake is a magical time of wisdom and collective transformation ✨🐍— come to Chinatown to celebrate the new year in an evening of delicious foods, dancing, music, poetry, healing spaces , alongside an incredible maker and night market to bring in the new year grounded in intention and community.

The Pacific Renaissance Plaza courtyard will be lit up with lanterns on bamboo sticks plus have giant red scrolls hanging. There will be about 25 vendors with traditional lantern festival foods like herbal soups and Chinese desserts, plus here are many chef entrepreneurs showcasing their latest dishes from different immigrant culturas in Oakland including Palestinian/Cuba (falafels, harissa wings and yucaa fries),  Panama (tamales), Mexico (Oaxacan cacao) and more plus vendors focusing on healing arts.

2025 Chinese New Year Parade & Fireworks – February 15

Nowhere in the country will you see a lunar new year parade with more gorgeous floatselaborate costumes, ferocious lions, exploding firecrackers, and of course the newly crowned Miss Chinatown U.S.A. and her court.

A crowd favorite will be the new and spectacular 288-foot Golden Dragon (“Gum Lung”). It takes a team of over 180 men and women from the martial arts group White Crane to carry this dragon throughout the streets of San Francisco.
