Our contributor Laura, from SFMamaKoala.com, wrote the introduction for this month’s guide and shared many of the events you’ll find this month’s guide. She’s a San Francisco native who’s in the know on all things family-friendly around the city. If you find yourself on the Peninsula, check out things to do in the area from Mid-Peninsula Moms Blog, and Wine Country Moms Blog has you covered for trips up north.

November is here! San Francisco may not get snow, but there is a cozy feel to the city as Thanksgiving approaches and we focus even more on family and making memories. With that in mind, kick off the month with Day of the Dead festivities honoring the loved ones we have lost. Then bring on the holiday shopping and tree lighting events. What is on your shopping list this year, and which SF tree lighting is your favorite? For those staying local for Thanksgiving, what are your SF-centric Thanksgiving traditions?

Know of something else fun going on around town? YOU can add it directly to our community calendar! These can be activities that you or your business are sponsoring or they can simply be activities that you love and want to spread the word to other local families.
