What
St Jude Children’s Research Hospital Miracles on the Bay Gala is an interactive evening of philanthropy that brings the urgent, life saving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to 500+ business and social leaders in the Bay Area. A spirited cocktail party and silent auction give way to an elegant, seated dinner and overview of the research being done at St. Jude, followed by a rousing live auction. The evening will conclude with music, dancing and entertainment.
Why
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. This commitment to research has helped push the childhood cancer survival rate from less than 20% when the hospital opened in 1962 to 80% today. Every year, St. Jude treats over 8,500 patients from all over the world at no cost to their families, including housing, travel and food. All of this, is only possible thanks to public donations that cover 75% of St. Jude’s operating budget.
